Richard and Deborah Bloom are the artists behind Obsidian Windchimes. Richard began his career as a jewelry maker and in 1971 discovered the tonal qualities of obsidian and decided to make windchimes. Richard started selling his chimes at the Valley Art Gallery in Forest Grove Oregon. Richard and Deborah now live in Portland, Oregon and have two sons.
